Height between 80 and 120 cm.  A firm favourite of our good friend Dinah, and she knows a thing or two about Persicarias. Very drought tolerant.

Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’

A recent addition to the range of Persicaria, being one of the darkest to date. Flowers are produced over a very long season in a rich deep congealed blood red. Height between 80 and 120 cm.  A firm favourite of our good friend Dinah, and she knows a thing or two about Persicarias. Very drought tolerant.

 

Polygonum derives from the Greek ‘poly’ = many and ‘gonu’ = joint, alluding to the swollen nodes on the stems. Polygonum bistortum – Bistort, Snakeweed (possibly because of the twisted rhizome), Easter Ledges
