    Campanula lactiflora 'Loddon Anna' is the beautiful pale pink form of the milky bellflower. 5ft tall stems sway gracefully topped with a dense branching head of starry cupped flowers in softest pink. Equally good in the border or naturalised in grass. Cuts well for the house. Cut back to the ground after flowering.

    A particularly strong growing variety that is very late into flower, regularly flowering from October and into December. The 6cm flowers are fairly well double, even when fully open the centre has a yellow glow, but no central disc. The petals are a rich burnt orange with enough of an incurve to show a pale apricot reverse. Very similar in tone to Paul Boissier.

Pretty little Euphorbia with deep red new growth which fades a deep sea green, the perfect foil for the bright acid yellow flowers produced in profusion in spring. It's only 20cm tall but a great assest anywhere. The fine thread-like foliage is lovely in its own respect, but the brightness of the flowers punch well above their weight and persist for so long, fading into rich autumn tones before they depart.     An exceptionally pure white Phlox with large dense heads of flowers (6-9") of good substance. Grows to 3' (1m) and from its initial flowering in July it is capable of repeat flowering until September if dead-headed and well cared for. Superb, heady, rich fragrance. Nice apple-green foliage is resistant to powdery mildew and even spotting providing conditions are good. This variety was discovered in its native America as a chance seedling. For full sun to partial shade in a moist fertile soil with plenty of organic matter. 36-40". Native Phlox paniculata are reserved and nurtured by the Brandywine Conservancy Volunteers at Chadd's Ford, Pennsylvania. In August 1987, the Phlox seedlings were inspected by the coordinator and Richard Simon of Bluemount Nurseries. Together they selected a white fragrant form with clean foliage and it was named 'David' by Mrs FM Mooberry, the project coordinator, for her husband. 'David' may well be a direct descendant of the original Phlox sent to Europe in 1930 by John Bartram. It was 'Perennial of the Year' in America in 2002

Dorset Perennials – plants direct from the heart of Dorset.

At Dorset Perennials you will find a husband and wife team, Dawn and Martin, who have been plantsmen and nurserymen for nearly 25 years. Our nursery, situated in the North of Dorset close to the Somerset border, is full of the plants we love. There’s no overall theme, just an eclectic mix of perennials that, for one reason or another, we consider well worth growing. We have plants for shade, plants for sun, plants for wildlife and a few more just because. In short all the perennials you would ever need to make a garden full of colour throughout the year and full of the plants you need to make it hum with wildlife. We’ve tried to make this website full of inspirational colour and easy to use. The shop page has a nifty plant selector sidebar which can be used to filter our plants by size, colour season and so forth to help you quickly pin down the right plant for a particular spot.
