The only family of interest to us here is the cabbage family.
Erysimum ‘Bowles’ Mauve’
This is an important family economically, containing a large number of our winter vegetables along with the oil seed crop rape. It also contains a number of very ornamental garden worthy Genera.
Did you know, there is a genus in the animal kingdom also called Crambe. Crambe crambe is the red encrusted sea sponge ! (see also the entry under Viola in Malpighiales)
