Alstroemeria ‘Andez Rose’. ‘PERUVIAN LILY. Just like the Alstroemerias you’d buy from the florist but available to pick from your own garden over an amazingly long period. Unlike the old-fashioned Ligtu hybrids, these Alstroemerias are compact, up to 1m, form super non-invasive clumpswhich just seem to go on and on providing flower stems up until the frosts.. They are probably triploid, hence the vigour and do not seed. They want a sunny position in rich well drained ground. Hardy to -10oC, perhaps lower if given a winter mulch to protect the roots. ‘Andez Rose’ is a rosy pink with the inner petals shaded yellow and cream flecked with brown. The reverses are rosy-red, as are the stamens.
