Potsize – 1L

Narrowleaf Bluestar or Arkansas Bluestar. A long lived plant that will slowly increase into a small herbaceous willowy bush about 60 cm tall. The leaves are the narrowest of all the Amsonias, lending the plant a very soft feathery appearance. The flowers are produced in a short terminal head of pale blue stars and come in mid Summer, a little later than A.tabernaemontana. In Autumn the foliage turns rich golden yellow, a colour that will develop best in plants that are grown in full sun (which is a pity as the flowers last best on plants grown in partial shade!) Native to the Ouachita Mountains in central Arkansas where it grows mostly in light woodland.
