Aruncus 'Horatio'. A fine hybrid Goat's Beard raised by the famous German nurseryman Ernst Pagels. He deliberately crossed the dwarf A. aethusifolius with the larger A. dioicus creating a mid height variety with the best of both parents. The foliage is fine, close and well divided; Fresh green all year and colouring brilliant shades well into Autumn. The Astilbe-likeflowers are creamy white, open with stiff horizontal branches, tending towards A.aethusifolius. Altogether a plant of grace and charm. 120cm height and spread.

Dorset Perennials – plants direct from the heart of Dorset.

At Dorset Perennials you will find a husband and wife team, Dawn and Martin, who have been plantsmen and nurserymen for nearly 25 years. Our nursery, situated in the North of Dorset close to the Somerset border, is full of the plants we love. There’s no overall theme, just an eclectic mix of perennials that, for one reason or another, we consider well worth growing. We have plants for shade, plants for sun, plants for wildlife and a few more just because. In short all the perennials you would ever need to make a garden full of colour throughout the year and full of the plants you need to make it hum with wildlife. We’ve tried to make this website full of inspirational colour and easy to use.
