White Burning Bush. A very special plant for serious gardeners with pure white flowers with very long exerted stamens giving an exotic effect. Flowers are borne in whorls on upright stems above stiff glossy aromatic foliage. As the name suggests and your Sunday school classes will confirm, it is possible to ignite the vapour above the plant on a hot still Summer day (but I'll haunt you if you do !). This is a very slow growing plant, taking its time to establish, but it is well worth the wait and long lived once settled in. 60-90cm high in flower. For a very dry sunny position. Sap can photosensitize the skin so no topiary !

Dorset Perennials – plants direct from the heart of Dorset.

At Dorset Perennials you will find a husband and wife team, Dawn and Martin, who have been plantsmen and nurserymen for nearly 25 years. Our nursery, situated in the North of Dorset close to the Somerset border, is full of the plants we love. There’s no overall theme, just an eclectic mix of perennials that, for one reason or another, we consider well worth growing.
