A spreading perennial from Dahuria in Russia which is hardy and well suited to clay soils. The basal clumps are coarse, but they bear a very long lasting heads of small bright yellow flowers all through the summer, followed by similarly yellow seed heads. These are never going to be your star attraction, but they will provide a really long lasting injection of colour to your border and are great sources of nectar. If that’s not enough for you, they cut very well too. 150cm plus.

Dorset Perennials – plants direct from the heart of Dorset.

At Dorset Perennials you will find a husband and wife team, Dawn and Martin, who have been plantsmen and nurserymen for nearly 25 years. Our nursery, situated in the North of Dorset close to the Somerset border, is full of the plants we love. There’s no overall theme, just an eclectic mix of perennials that, for one reason or another, we consider well worth growing.
