Ratibida pinnata . 4 foot tall stiff stems are finely clothed in nice fine pinnatifid foliage and topped off in late Summer with lemon yellow cone flowers with broad petals which hang down in a lovely bobbed curtsey below a prominent cone. The cone starts green with a mauve cast and ages brown. All in all its like a more lady-like version of Rudbeckia with the colour, (of ours anyway), definitely more lemon than golden.
