Potsize – 1L

Verbena bonariensis has stiff tall stems up to 6ft, crowned with ever expanding heads of pinky mauve flowers. Verbena bonariensis  has become a well deserved star of so many gardens as it produces such a long period of nectar rich flowers in a way that is both eye catching but light enough to see right through. Flowers from late summer onwards getting better and better as it goes as the heads get broader and broader. It is an absolute magnet for butterflies of all kinds.  Sunny position. It will replace itself from seed if conditions are suitable

Although often treated as an annual owing to its ability to flower in its first year, Verbena bonariensis is perfectly well suited to more permanent plantings. Given good drainage it will withstand temperatures of -5C to -14C and will readily sow itself around from seed, especially into gravel.
