Potsize – 1L
A tall herbaceous mallow / hollyhock cross resulting in a wonderful robust looking hollyhock but to 1.5-2m high in flower and way beyond hollyhock season. In fact it is best in late Summer and Autumn. Parkrondell has bluey-pink flowers, veined in a richer pink with ruffled curly centres. As a sterile hybrid it sets no seed, leading to such a longevity of flowering season. Hardy. for Sun. The original cross, which created ‘Parkallee’, was made by Prof. Zoltan Kovats in Hungary in 1953, crossing Alcea rosea and Althaea officinalis in an attempt to produce a hollyhock with rust resistance. He had good success as Parkallee has excellent (but not total) resistance.
