Potsize - 1L
I do love the endearing faces of the perennials violas, but Columbine is my favourite. The neat pansy flowers are streaked and splashed with a blend of soft blues and bright violet over a white ground with the brightest golden eye. As if that were not temptation enough, the scent produced is the sweetest and strongest of any flower I know - transporting a tray of them in the car to plant fairs is better than a trip to any fancy perfume store. Evergreen mats of foliage, flowering about 8 inches high from May until September, especially if dead headed and trimmed lightly in July.
